Jerome Rivière Attorney

Jerome Rivière is a Senior Consultant with the American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as the largest business development firm in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces. The firm has facilitated more than $680,000,000 in “new found sales” for client companies in the last year and historically each year for the last four years.

Mr. Rivière is an attorney at law. Located in Paris at the law offices of Farthouat Asselineau & associés, he specializes in the legal process surrounding the economical globalization. Parts of Jerome's efforts are to provide business development and government relations services to companies and organizations in the global marketplace and access to global political and business leaders.

Mr. Rivière is a former Member of the French Parliament (Assemblée Nationale June 2002 - June 2007). As member of the Defense committee, he was rapporteur for the « Forces Equipment » program (~10 billion Euro credits in 2007) within the Ministry of Defense budget. He is the person behind numerous bills and amendments adopted by the French Congress in many different fields such as defense, immigration, education, culture and communication. He authored numerous parliamentarian reports in particular: “The propulsion system of the second French aircraft carrier”, “Military training of officers in military academies”, or “The future and challenges of European Defense”.

His responsibilities included vice-chairmanship of various study groups such as, armament industries, port and harbor policies and liberal professions. He sat as Vice-Chairman on the parliamentarian caucuses between France and Canada, Dominican Republic, Israel, and the United States of America.

While in French Parliament, he was elected by his colleagues to the French delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly from June 2002 until June 2007. There, he chaired the Subcommittee on Proliferation of Military Technology and sat as Vice-Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee. He also was a member of the Ukraine-NATO-PA Inter-parliamentary Council.

Before his election Mr. Rivière served as deputy chief of staff for the French Defense Minister between 1993 and 1995 and held many political appointed positions in France. His experience in the private sector includes serving as General Manager for Antipolis SAS, a Business Resort in the Sophia-Antipolis technological park (Nice, France). He also was Special advisor to Traqueur's CEO (In France Traqueur owns the commercial rights for LoJack, the industry's foremost car theft recovery system).

Today, Mr. Rivière is a lawyer member of the Paris Bar. From his Paris office he can organize meetings with members of parliament as well as members of government and their staff in order to educate not only government officials but a large range of political leaders as to the implications of various legislative changes. He also tries to persuade legislators to propose, pass, or defeat legislation or to change existing laws in company's best interest while respecting public interest and equitable government policies. He represents in France the “American Business Development Group” a Washington DC based American company offering teaming arrangements for both US-based and international entities in the private sector.

Mr. Rivière received a Master degree in business at ISG (Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris) and an MBA in finance and management from EUA at USF (University of San Francisco). As well as a diploma of international studies in Tokyo, he also studied public law at ENA (Ecole Nationale d'Administration, Paris).
